The MOT tests important items on your vehicle to check they meet the legal standards. It isn’t the same as having your vehicle serviced and doesn’t check its general mechanical condition.

A vehicle will typically require an MOT every year once it is older than three years old. An MOT can be carried out up to one month in advance of its due date and you can carry the additional time over to the next.
